The Power Group has a rich and extraordinary history. Founded over 40 years ago in 1983, by Graham Power, the group has over the years grown into a leading company, offering construction, building, mining, Engineering Management Services and development services across South Africa. The company has two operating companies, Power Construction and Power Developments.
Our Purpose is clear: “To improve the quality of life in Africa.”
Our strategic and operational goals are guided by our responsiveness to the ever-changing environment, delivery of quality engineering and a culture of empowerment, integrity and accountability.

The Power Group and its affiliated and associated companies are dedicated to conducting business consistent with the highest standards of business ethics and undertake, in good faith, to act with the highest levels of integrity, transparency and honesty in exercising its rights and undertaking its obligations in respect of all contracts.
By accepting a purchase order, a vendor acknowledges that Power Construction (Pty) Limited has selected it and entered into a Supplier / Subcontract agreement. This is based on the understanding that vendors, likewise, subscribe to these standards of conduct in commercial transactions and undertake to act ethically and professionally in all respects in the execution of the agreement.
Without limiting the generality of the aforegoing and without prejudice to any other common law or contractual rights that Power Construction (Pty) Limited may have on account of any breach of the provisions in the contract with the vendor, it is agreed and acknowledged that any conduct which constitutes any form of bribery or corruption will entitle Power Construction (Pty) Limited to summarily cancel the agreement.
Power Construction offers a SANAS-accredited Civil Engineering Testing Laboratory.
The laboratory is accredited to ISO/IEC 17025:2017 standards by SANAS, ensuring that all testing strictly adheres to South African National Standards (SANS) and complies with a rigorous ISO/IEC 17025:2017 quality system. This accreditation highlights the precision and reliability of Power Construction's testing processes.
The laboratory provides a comprehensive range of services, including the sampling and testing of construction materials, specialized testing, and thorough onsite and field services.
Power Construction is listed as a B-BBEE Level 1 Empowered Supplier in terms of the Amended B-BBEE Construction Sector Code as gazetted in December 2017.

The Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 or POPIA, as it is commonly referred to, effective from 1 July 2021, is a law that aims to protect an individual’s rights to privacy by regulating the manner in which Personal Information is collected, processed, shared, and stored both by public and private bodies. POPIA will therefore regulate how South African businesses handle personal information.
The Power Group takes the security of personal information very seriously. We take every effort to protect personal information from misuse, loss, and unauthorised access.
The purpose of the Promotion of Access to Information Act (PAIA) is to promote a culture of transparency, accountability and good governance both in the private and public sectors.
